Position: K-5 Technology Integrator

RSU #20 seeks a full-time, grades K-5, building-based Technology Integrator.  We are a small, tightly-knit district comprised of the towns of Searsport and Stockton Springs and situated along the western shores of Penobscot Bay.  Our PK-12 student population is 495 students, with 210 students in grades K-5. The successful candidate must be collaborative, creative, tech-forward thinking and have a passion for technology use to support enhanced teaching and learning for all students.


  1. Required

    1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher

    2. Demonstrated knowledge of technology in schools

    3. Valid State of Maine teaching certification

  2. Preferred

    1. Valid State of Maine teaching certification with endorsement 680 or be willing to pursue endorsement 680

    2. Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience

Responsibilities: (Full, School-Board-approved job description)

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of the District’s Technology Plan.

  2. Collaborate with staff to support technology use in the delivery of curricula to increase student achievement.

  3. Conduct needs assessments to identify and prioritize technology needs for students and staff.

  4. Design and implement professional development targeting identified needs and in accordance with the RSU #20 Technology Plan.

  5. Consult on technology budget, professional development needs, and planning of technology integration.

  6. Support staff in classroom integration of effective technology use, including collaborative planning, modeling, and team teaching.

  7. Create learning resources for students and staff and moderate their use.

  8. Provide technical assistance with various software and hardware.

  9. Serve as a member of the Technology Committee.

  10. Help implement system upgrades and changes relating to technology as needed.

  11. Manage or administer computer-based interventions and applications such as student account creation, maintain usernames and passwords, and staff training.

  12. Assume responsibility for own professional growth.

  13. Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may, from time to time, be assigned by the Technology Director.
