call the meeting to order and that is my only duty tonight is the election of chair and vice-chair and assignment of committees so therefore I get to take the meeting over tell a new cheers electric chair returns so I will open up the floor patience I nominate Tony Bagley for chairperson any further nominations close I make a motion with clothes for nominations so we need a boat and Matthew a member of the sport so you can vote so all those in favor of Tony Bagley is chair for the 2122 school year it's unanimous no no it's not okay so it's a 3-1 and then I'll take over to you open the floor for Lexington board of directors Vice chair any further nominations seeing none motion to cease nomination second what was the favor season nominations Natomas opposed abstentions election of the finance committee find the point that is anybody else want to be part of Finance I would like to join them it's Bob that would not constitute a violation of the Corn so you can attend Finance standing committee assignments so I'm not one really to dictate too many assignments I guess I would ask if everybody is comfortable with a current assignments that are in or wish to change I'm comfortable with me Christian I stay on College I'm also on an ocean School Board as your representative there but that I think is has just started so don't think that was on this list and also breakout mini if those meaning will take place and they will start up again because and Dumber we have to we have Chinese and Lee and Roman there are requested that that committee be more active working me more inform to my policy we are supposed to approve our curriculum on an annual basis so what should I talk about that earlier would you like to do it I have personnel That's Tony and Denise is that salt will negotiate options text Sona we have Denise and Wednesday can is a member-at-large and on MOS I have Chris and on correctly on my head Christmas Xterra by committees I need directions to the end of this evening first was on the new business the first of all the new business which is a discussion and consideration of the school resource officer under committee report we did have a policy committee meeting last night star report on that and then on the old business the second reading of policies JL and JL Dash which is our Wellness Legacy Crossing motion to accept the board meeting agenda agenda as adjusted motion to accept all those in favor recognition this evening Mr. We do first of all girls in coach Chase you can go wherever you like two and their young lady should come with you to do some self as a walk just everybody that doesn't know which would be very few is for District High School this year captured not only the boys baseball we ask to be here but then make it but more importantly a girls softball team since 98 I'm going to turn it over to finally come together and and I'm right here I have Captain Mackenzie she is graduating senior now she will be a senior play me on behalf of some people have it on record and graduation. can you send it to you again next year. government for Title One a lot of it is used for Staffing West we have and you can see on there we have two teachers text and then I'm in a 1/5 position I also some of the things that we use it for a speedy this past year we didn't have the PD that we would normally have so much but we had video pd4 ready reading in Reading Mass PBIS is another thing that we sometimes sit fund for their conferences and their other conferences most of them were virtual this year Family engagement this year was very difficult Ginger covid issues and we did do some things in school within the school and sent home some things to so that they would have an Outreach from us like we had one activity was we had a reading day and everyone got a flashlight in the squeezy ball and and so they weren't able to take that home with activities they can also do at home hopefully it is usually we have two of them for year one so we plan to that actually there's one already were talking about in October that we will do it in conjunction with The Book Thief and open houses another event that we usually are there too talk to people about what time one is the one good thing is that title one has become school why we did that two years ago and it's been great because we have flexibility to work with any student that has any issues or any questions or need mansion with a great number of children I used to say when we work with about 60 students but this past year has been more than that because we were able to be flexible enough to work with whoever and whatever group needed extra I think that's pretty much my program our funding has been somewhat reduced this year but the state is asking for a waiver since we couldn't use all our funds for the cash they're giving us their looking for a waiver so that those funds can continue to be used any question thank you brother why would anybody from the public wish just address the board report from the superintendent I have a couple things they are to bring you up date on first of all summer school started on July 6th and summer school involves not only academic aspect of the word school that we also provide free meals for kids now technically it says Gerald 18 up the kids that are coming am an adult summer school so we could buy both breakfast and lunch for them at the elementary we have 54 stew we had planned on 60 so if 54 is a really good bench not to the reached 90% of those that had intended to enroll and then the middle school high school we have a program call Ed shoe and genuity thank you we had 26 students the first week second week we are now at 20 because of all the students at work on programs call them to do credit recovery which is really what we're looking at because you know what we just went through with the pandemic and then and I will tell you that we are following the latest governors taking away the executive order so that our students are attending with the option of wearing a mask or without worrying about in the majority of our kids and staff without mask and it's just completely feeling in the building and a couple of ministrator said when they walked in the first day they're ready to put them aspirin and it realized it didn't have to end it's it's real it's a nice feeling interviews are continuing on Fortune when I get to the end of my report I've got some resignations but we're continuing to hostos and interview currently interviews are underway 7th and 8th grade math I will look in a band and chorus due to a change what you send in business and also we are in the process of looking at a varsity girls soccer opening and then we'll have some other positions for chicken all address in a second as far as updates from the deal we on the framework and coming back to school with 21:22 I'll address that on the new business but we all looking or the I don't want to use word final but the guidance from the deal we which now will be recommendations versus requirement is a big change for us being school systems around and then my final is we do have the following folks that are moving on to a different positions outside of a district elementary school kitchen manager Brenda Littlefield praise teacher if that you approved but never step foot in one of our classrooms and she has gone somewhere else that's Tonya Robinson Rachel Johnson of all teacher which is alternative Ed program in high school will be leaving on January 3rd due to some family situation but she will stay with us through most of the first semester and finally breaks Tara District Maintenance at the garage is resigning to join his wife up in Danforth where as an option been offered a teaching position so we've got some work to do but I wanted to bring up Folks up to date on those as well and I'll answer Policy policy JK and because of an update to LG 1370 we will be looking at adding possibly ajker to that policy and that will be informed by a committee has been formed to look at a phone call or meeting El d1370 law and so we'll hear more about that after that has done their work and then polish look at that JK are you guys want to be developed we also look at potential changes to a policy called GTO as it relates to a job descriptions and evaluations and there will be more information coming on that later so no action was taken but I did look at things that are coming up in the future did I miss anything mr.
