To address childhood hunger in the summer months, SUN Bucks provides families with a $120 EBT benefit for each eligible student to buy groceries during summer vacation. This Maine Child Nutrition program, managed by the Office of Family Independence (OFI) at the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, is designed to supplement eligible families’ grocery budgets while school is out of session.
