What is Title l?

Title l is a federally funded program. It provides supplemental assistance to students who are functioning below grade level. Students in kindergarten through 5th grade are eligible for Title l literacy and math services in RSU #20. Because SES is now considered a school-wide program, students who need a little extra support are eligible to receive Title I support. The Title I staff will work with all students in order to raise the academic achievement of our school. There will be more flexibility and classroom support for any student who needs intervention. Title l staff members collaborate with classroom teachers and parents to tailor instruction to best meet the needs of the student. As required by the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act), our ESSA District report cards are posted under the links on the RSU#20 website.

Please remember, Title l services are supplemental to classroom instruction, and is not a Special Education program.
